Greetings! Leftover meat sauce and homemade focaccia come together here to make a version of a sloppy joe that you are going to love.
Last night I made pasta for supper and some homemade focaccia bread. Today after all the morning rounds were finished, Rick and I returned home ready for brunch. As is usually the case, we don’t eat breakfast until the morning routine is done and the kids have been taken to school. This is our only meal aside from dinner that we share during the day. We love to have a hot meal and today we were just going to have warmed up sauce with some of the focaccia, but then Rick said, that would be great made into a sandwich with some cheese sprinkled over it. That made me think of a sloppy Joe, but since it was made with Italian sauce, I thought it would be cute to call it a sloppy Giuseppe because Giuseppe is Italian for Joseph. Cute huh?
So this is just another idea and a way you can makeover your leftovers. Put this in front of your kids with a green salad and they are going to love you! Who needs pasta? This was delicious and filling and I did not miss the pasta at all!
I hope you give this a try and I hope you love it!
